ETHICAL TRADE PROJECT

What we are doing

Through the Ethical Trade Project, the artisans hand-weave colourful bracelets and bag tags, amongst other accessories, inspired in Nature and fueled by their own creativity. We eventually help them sell these bracelets both in Peru and in the United Kingdom.

Why it is important

The profits help strengthen the financial independence of the artisans of Ccorca (Cusco), who have limited employment opportunities. The project also contributes to the financial sustainability of Amantani. As part of the project, the artisans also take part in personal development workshops held by Amantani.

I feel very grateful to be able to work with such talented artisans. Not only do they master their craft but they are also very wise and it’s a joy to share monthly in-person meetings with them.
— Guadalupe Valdeiglesias, Ethical Trade Project Coordinator
