Our flagship project is called Transitions and it is made up of two programmes: the Pathways Programme and the Scholarships Programme. In these programmes we work with young people who are finishing secondary school and are pursuing further or higher education.
Our sustainable business is called Ethical Trade. Here, we work with artisans who make beautifully hand-woven bracelets that are subsequently sold in both Peru and in the United Kingdom.
Our cultural and creative project is called Meet My World. In this project the young people take photography lessons and create projects based on the beauty of their daily lives.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed volunteers who’ve shared their time. Some have given lessons for a few months whilst others have run teaching workshops for a limited number of weeks.
If you wish to volunteer, please contact info@amantani.org.uk.
Our team is located in Cusco (Peru), Lima (Peru) and Oxford (United Kingdom). Thanks to technology, we have regular meetings and keep each other up to date with news, strategy development and requirements.
The young people and the artisans we work with live in rural Cusco, in the communities of Ccorca and Huanoquite.
